This statue of H. C. Andersen is a very rare sight, most of the year it’s not on display. Galschiøt, the artist who made it, decided to make a political statement a few years back, so he had it thrown in the harbor, and now once a year he pulls it up again, it sits in the town square a bit, and then he throws it in the harbor again.
